Autumn Bounty Triptych

The kaleidoscope of colors displayed by aspen trees in the fall can be almost unbelievable. While bright golden aspen leaves are most familiar, certain groves will display oranges and deep reds. This amazing combination of green, gold, orange and red leaves lasts for a few short days and only seems to occur every few years when conditions are just right. This image was taken early in the morning, as the sun rose above the surrounding mountains, adding the gentle glow of morning light to the trees.
