Bandhavgarh National Park, India

Bengal tigers are one of the most striking and awe-inspiring animals in the world. Seeing these beautiful cats in the wild is an indescribable experience. Their amazing markings combined with piercing eyes and their sheer command of the jungle is awesome. This fully mature tiger is one of two dominant males in the area. Late April is typically dry and hot, allowing for better chances of spotting tigers at familiar water holes where they seek reprieve from the mid-day heat. However, the familiar seasons in India were erratic this year. Early monsoons brought late afternoon showers, creating this magic moment with one of nature’s most alluring creatures.
