Kettle Pond Reflection
Denali National Park, Alaska
Countless kettle ponds can be found in the rolling tundra of Denali. These ponds were formed by glaciers as they retreated from the landscape and have become habitats for a variety of wildlife. Calm fall days with clear skies are rare as the days shorten, and smaller storms offer a prelude to the winter ahead. On one of these seemingly perfect days, a large bull moose wanders along the shore of this pond in search of food.
